I am so very infatuated with minimal attire. Those who have previously frequented my Instagram are probably aware of this, as I have been consistently called out for wearing too much black and neutral, unsaturated shades. I refrain from wearing several fussy pieces, bright colours and extravagant patterns, opting to much rather focus on the quality over quantity mantra – less things, more meaning.
I realise that living in a city like Paris made that harder for myself to pull off, seeing as Malta’s climate has made layering clothing less of a necessity and I had been anything but accustomed to French seasons. The question is, how does one keep to a minimalistic style when braving the cold?
And my answer is chunky, classic knitwear and cosy thick layers that hug your body so very comfortably. I picked this sweater up from H&M; which is a store I had previously never found to be of interest, until now. Granted, I later had a black coat thrown over and a cosy black scarf to go with the outfit, but the ensemble still worked. All you need are a few good pieces in one colour palette and cosy winter clothing is easily made stylish.
What I am wearing: sweater – H&M, leather pants – Zara, boots – Mango, hat – Aldo
