“March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers,” or so they say…
The weird, windy Maltese spring continues, and I am still struggling to put together an outfit. You see, as an island girl, I’ve long been accustomed to a summer-like spring. My Instagram memories popped up with a reminder of the beach photos I snapped this time a year ago, and I specifically remember diving into the sea as a result of the atrocious heatwave. I actually do not enjoy the constant heat – I only look forward to summer for the events, the luxury of being able to finish a day’s work and have it still be sunny outside, and the ability to enjoy a bottle of wine by the pool. But this wind? I’ve struggled with an unsightly ocular cyst and throat infection as a result. Pleeeease let it be over soon.
On a more optimistic note, I will be heading to London for a short trip next week, and I am beyond excited. I have never travelled to the United Kingdom, shockingly enough, and I put off this trip for a while because I figured I would probably fail to budget my expenditures and would end up shopping for most of the trip’s duration. I’ve a problem, I know. But hey, no harm in treating yourself extravagantly on the occasion, right? I cannot wait to document those four days, which will be followed by a fashion show and day party in Malta. So watch this space!
