Living on an island definitely has its perks – The bluest of skies and clearest of seas, for instance. The sun is rarely in hiding here, which I have now come to appreciate more than ever, knowing I’ll be spending a lot less time on the island soon enough. Due to this, I decided I’ll be sharing more of Malta’s beauty in my photographs, whilst I still am able to!
I’ve been a tad obsessed with ruffles on clothing lately – Having worn them on wide-sleeved turtlenecks, gingham-patterned mini skirts, and this lovely pair of jeans I am far too fond of. The trend has been around for a while now, but I suppose I had first grown an appreciation for it early last year, when I drew out a collection inspired by Degas – A favourite impressionist of mine – incorporating a few strategically-placed ruffles and ballet lace-up shoes (before they regained popularity, yes!)
I wanted to pair the trend up with a striped, messily-worn shirt, a cute little bag and my fundamental pair of pointed-toe heels. Anyone who knows me in the slightest, knows that I adore wearing striped clothing and live in my collection of pointed-toe heels. This pair happens to be a navy, velvet, short-heeled one I purchased from Mango in Serbia.
